how much does it cost to rent a party bus in asheville?
Asheville is a hotspot for bachelor and bachelorette parties, wedding festivities, concerts, birthdays and all types of celebrations. Naturally, these celebrations call for a good time which means safe and fun transportation is a must.
Nationally recognized for our brewery scene and an amazing winery/vineyard selection to match, a party bus is a safe and fun way to get around.
No need to piece together spotty Ubers and have everyone under one roof only adds to the experience.
FACTORS OF PARTY BUS COST IN ASHEVILLE
Length of Outing
This is pretty straight forward, as you are charged per hour in most instances. The biggest variance amongst party bus companies is when the clock starts and ends. Some start and end the clock when they leave and return from their office, vehicle lot etc. Some start and end the clock once they pick you up and drop you off from the location of your choice and some provide a complimentary pickup within a certain distance but charge for beyond that. Once that's established, it's just a rolling clock from start to end with start and end being the variables for each company.
Distance to Pick-up and Drop-off Location
As an example, Damn Good Beer and Party Bus offers complimentary pick-up and drop-off within a 3-miles radius of downtown Asheville, $49 for a custom address up to 10 miles, and $49+ based on further out groups.
Other companies may charge from when they leave their vehicle lot and some may not start the time until they pick you up, regardless of how far out you are (within reason).
Each company has their own approach.
Mileage for the Trip
A party bus company may charge more for long distance drives outside of city limits as more gas is used while others just charge by the time spent. You will want to make sure.
Time of Booking
Extra late bookings may charge a premium as finding staff willing to be out until 3am make be a harder sell than someone working during the day.
Damn Good Beer and Party Bus has straightforward pricing that's competitive with the local average.
Time Minimum
Most transportation companies will require a 4-hour minimum for any booking. Weekends, holidays or peek dates may require bigger commitments such as 6 or 8 hours. Keep in mind, you are not just paying for "drive time" but for the time of service, start to end.
Vehicle Size
Naturally, if you can fit 25 people in a vehicle instead of 8, you may pay more per hour but may pay less per person. Larger vehicles come with additional regulations and costs, which gets passed along, as you may expect.
Many vehicles are 14-passenger capacity because that is the threshold before needing a special driver's license and it helps with maneuvering the windy roads and hills of Asheville.

Party Bus TipTake advantage of the bus and consider visiting some locations outside of downtown. Downtown is great, but very walkable, so if you're going to be there at any part during the weekend, you can likely knock out your bar bucket-list. |
